INDIO, Calif.- - The window for getting your hands on Coachella passes tends to be tight. If you didn't have your hands on them by the time the sun went down on January 4, and if you didn't live locally, you'd probably have to pay an exorbitant price to attend the festival.
On Wednesday, the festival organizers opened the above-mentioned window just a crack, announcing that passes for weekend 2 would once again go on sale. On Friday, April 5 at 3 PM, a limited number of Coachella Weekend 2 passes will go on sale.
The updated poster tweeted out alongside the pass sale announcement included mention of Kanye West's 'Sunday Service', which will take place on Easter. Over the weekend, the artist announced on his wife, Kim Kardashian's Instagram that he would be bringing the performance to the valley. '
``Ya we were out in Palm Springs and they took us to a little campground. We were thinking about a little performance in Palm Springs, just a little one,'' WEST said in the video, saying that the performance will take place at 9 a.m. on April 21.
Under the 'General Info' section of Coachella's page about the Sunday Service, details remained slim as of Wednesday morning. "When: Easter Sunday Morning, April 21," read the page. "Please Check Back for More Info."
Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett told Billboard on Wednesday that "Sunday Service" will take place on “the Mountain,” a hillside at the Coachella campsite.
"It was suggested, 'Why don't we try this in camping, since it's in the morning and all the other campers are already there?'" Tollett told Billboard. "Other people going to the show can come early, if they want [and they'll be allowed in]."
Tollett said shuttles will run early and anyone with a pass will be able to go inside the campgrounds for the performance, however, the festival area won't open until 1 p.m.
Weekend 2 passes are required for West's Sunday Service.
