Kris Long

Kris Long

A 40 plus year veteran of broadcast journalism, Kris Long has worked as a reporter and anchor in some of the best television markets in the country including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Chicago. He won three local Emmys for his reporting work in Chicago. In 2016 Kris won a local Emmy for his coverage of the Salton Sea dilemma.  Some of the stories he's covered include the first ever visit to the United States by Pope John Paul II in 1979, the liftoff of the first Space Shuttle, the Republican National Convention in 1980 and the Democratic National Convention in 1984. 

Kris graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Political Science.

Kris came to the Palm Springs television market in April 2005. He and his wife are the proud parents of daughter Hillary, a 2011 graduate of Arizona State University.

In his spare time Kris enjoys golf, running, and reading biographies. He is a member of the Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire.  Kris has won $20,000 in the Anchor Challenge Golf Tournament.  That money went to UCP of the Inland Empire.
