Weekend Sports Anchor Cody Krupp joined KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 in December of 2015.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Radio, TV, Film and an emphasis in Public Relations Journalism.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Cody naturally took to football and it became an early passion. After two torn ACLs his junior and senior years in high school; Cody wanted to keep playing the game he loved, so he decided to play football at the D3 level in Oshkosh. After his third torn ACL, he knew it was time to hang up the cleats.

Cody moved to Knoxville, TN to intern with his first sports department at WATE-6. Later he road tripped across the country to take a sports internship with KABC-7 Los Angeles.  There he became exposed to the entire SOCAL sports scene. After returning to Wisconsin following his internship, Cody interned with two stations in Milwaukee WTMJ-4 and WISN-12.

The following school year Cody enrolled in a National Student Exchange program that took him to LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. Geaux Tigers! There he worked with the dominate CBS affiliate WAFB-9 as an intern/MMJ/Freelancer. He also covered every LSU football home/away game with the college station Tiger TV. Nothing like an SEC football Saturday night!

After finishing up his time in the bayou, Cody had one semester left of school back at UW-Oshkosh. He would have class Mon-Fri and then drive to Madison to work with the ABC affiliate WKOW-27 on their Friday night prep football show. Cody also covered every Packers home game with the station.

Cody is a big Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, LSU Tigers, and Milwaukee Brewers fan and is currently deciding which Los Angeles NBA team will win his vote.

Cody thoroughly enjoys the California winter weather, with bike rides, hikes and not freezing the second he walks out the door.

He is a big fan of the shows How to Get Away with Murder and The Bachelor when he's not watching sports. All in all Cody considers himself a laid back personality that is trying to soak in every moment he can of his experience here in the valley.
