Minor earthquake centered near Anza

A small 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Anza today at 9:40 a.m., and people around the Coachella Valley reported feeling it from the La Quinta Cove to Palm Desert.

It was followed by at least 2 very small aftershocks. There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.

Monday's quake comes on the heels of a 4.5 Magnitude earthquake Sunday that struck near Ocotillo Wells, south of the Coachella Valley.
