Rollover crash near Desert Center, one person airlifted

Traffic is stalled after a serious single vehicle rollover crash near Desert Center on Interstate 10, east of Red Cloud Road. CAL FIRE reports the accident happened just after 7:30 am. North Indian Canyon Drive remains closed between Train Station Road and Tramview Road due a sand embankment over three feet high as well as limited visibility, the Palm Springs Police Department announced. Indian Canyon Drive reopens at the wash

Indian Canyon Drive reopened at the wash shortly before 10:45 a.m. Friday. The closure first went into effect Thursday morning at 1:19 a.m. due to power pole maintenance by Southern California Edison.
