Palm Springs, CA 92264
We've already begun to cool down here in the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs came in with a high of 95° this afternoon which makes it a FOUR degree drop from yesterday. More significant cooling is forecast for Friday with high temperatures swinging into the 80s for two days. It'll finally feel like Fall... even if it is for a short period.
Wind speeds will continue to strengthen throughout tonight with gusts over 50 MPH expected Friday through the San Gorgonio Pass. Close those patio umbrellas!
High pressure builds over the weekend which will shift our winds to have an offshore flow. This will bring warmer and drier air into Southern California. A Fire Weather Watch for the Inland Empire and San Bernardino County mountains has been issued for Saturday - Tuesday.
Enjoy the quick change in weather because triple digit temperatures look to reclaim their place in the desert next week!
