Dr. Gary Bernard - Board Certified Gynecologist and Obstetrician
Truly a doctor who meets the “Gold Standard," Dr. Bernard is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists who has an emphasis on education and personalized patient care.
Most importantly, after interviewing many of Dr. Bernard’s patients, the one thing that was consistently noted was --- he is the doctor of choice and one that is truly committed to personalized care. It is the extra personal care that distinguishes him as one who practices with old traditional values.
His practice, Valley Womancare, is located in Indio, California. Dr. Bernard also maintains privileges at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital and JFK Memorial Hospital where he performs many of his surgeries which include the relatively new and latest technology performed -- the laparoscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Bernard received an award for outstanding laparoscopic skills and is one of very few in the Valley who qualify for this procedure.
Ms. Mary Vega is a Nurse Practitioner who also works at Valley Womancare. Her personality and commitment to the highest standard of care compliment Dr. Bernard's. She, too, is wholly committed to personalized patient care.
Under what conditions should women consider a hysterectomy?
Pain
How severely it effects her lifestyle
Fibroids can not be removed by any other method
Abnormal bleeding that does not respond to endometrial ablation
Laparoscopic hysterectomies and their benefits:
A minimally invasive procedure where various specialized tools are inserted through small, dime-sized incisions in the belly button and abdomen. These incisions are less uncomfortable than the ones required for a traditional hysterectomy. There is less pain, shorter hospital stay, faster recovery and smaller scars.
Personalized and prompt care is as important to us as it is to you. Contact Dr. Bernard's office today at 760-347-6004.
