The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported late Tuesday night that Sidney Crosby will have arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist in the next few days.

Even though the Penguins center said he was not hurt during the playoffs, sources told the Post-Gazette, Crosby was hurt and the injury hampered the NHL MVP's play.

The exact injury or its cause was uncertain and Crosby could not be reached to comment.

Crosby is not expected to miss any time next season.
