He hasn’t been on the Flyers’ radar in months. A seventh-round draft pick in 2008, goalie Joacim Eriksson has a 21-9 record in the Swedish Elite League. His numbers are off the charts: 1.67 goals-against average, .931 save percentage, five shutouts in 30 games. Hardcore Flyers fans don’t want to be reminded. The Flyers let the 22-year-old’s eligibility run out without signing him to an entry-level contract. “If the Flyers signed him, they could be looking at a future franchise goalie because now he’s one of the best in the Swedish Elite League,” said Justin Goldman, director of goalie scouting for McKeen's Hockey. “The Flyers lost an opportunity there. They drafted him for a reason, knowing he had upside, but they never gave him an opportunity.”
