Jets select Missouri DT Sheldon Richardson at No. 13
Ignoring the offense completely in the first round, the Jets round out their opening two picks with another defensive player. This time, it's Missouri DT Sheldon Richardson. Giving a nod to the Rex Ryan-era drafts of recent memory, the Jets are continuing to upgrade their defense, first nabbing cornerback Dee Milliner and then grabbing Richardson, a 6-2 1/2 294-pound defensive tackle out of Missouri. Richardson was an All-SEC honoree that led the Tigers in tackles for a loss (10 1/2), adding 75 total stops and four sacks. A JUCO transfer, Richardson has had some charachter issues in the past. According to the Pro Football Weekly draft guide, he has a "big mouth, coachability and maturity have been issues."
