Atlanta Braves right-hander Brandon Beachy, already out for the season, had another surgery on his pitching elbow Thursday, according to MLB.com.
Beachy was shut down two weeks after coming back from Tommy John surgery. He underwent another procedure, this time to clean debris from the elbow. He is expected to be ready by spring training next year.
Beachy returned from Tommy John surgery on July 29 after being out 13 months. He made five starts this year and went 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 30 innings. His last start was Aug. 20.
