INDIO, Calif. -

 Undefeated heavyweight Luis Ortiz will fight Monte Barrett, who twice fought for versions of the world heavyweight championship, in the scheduled 10-round main event of a boxing card at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio Thursday night.

Ortiz, who turned 35 Saturday, is the No. 2-ranked heavyweight contender by the World Boxing Association. The former Cuban national team member who now lives in Miami is 20-0 as a professional, with one bout ruled a no contest, with 17 knockouts.
