NILAND, Calif. - El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents busted a suspected drug smuggler in Niland, California, Tuesday around 8 p.m. It was the second person with methamphetamine who was stopped at the checkpoint in less than 24 hours.
The 48 year old man was driving a 2006 Chevy Silverado as he approached the checkpoint on Highway 111.

The driver, a naturalized U.S. citizen, was arrested and the truck and drugs were handed over to the DEA.
The drug bust was the second seizure of the day at the same checkpoint.
