BEAUMONT, Calif. - A truck spilled fuel and part of its load of metal pipes onto Interstate 10 today crashed with two sedans, prompting the CHP to close at least one lane.
Around 3:30 p.m., Caltrans officials reported all lanes are back open.
The crash was reported at 11:18 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway east of Pennsylvania Avenue in Beaumont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was not clear if anyone was injured in the crash but a caller told the CHP that the ``big rig driver was not moving.''
A CHP incident report also stated that the trailer had sustained ``major front end damage'' and that an ambulance was called to the scene.
At 11:56 a.m., the CHP requested that Caltrans close at least one lane of Interstate 10 because metal pipes were strewn on the roadway.
