PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -

Authorities have caught up with a man accused of stealing an elderly couple's car in Palm Springs after threatening them with a knife on August 26.

Daniel Ryan Volrich, a 24 year old transient, was arrested in Yucca Valley on Wednesday, September 17 in connection to the robbery.

The crime occurred at a home in the 2200 block of Sunshine Way in Palm Springs. The victims, who are both about 80 years old, left their garage door open while they were inside, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
