Attention middle school girls of the Coachella Valley! A new retreat designed to be a fun, informative and hands-on experience is coming September 20.

The ladies of KESQ News Channel 3, CBS Local 2, and KUNA Telemundo 15 are joining together for the inaugural 'Rae of Hope Retreat'.

Sessions throughout the retreat will teach girls about the importance of keeping fit through fun exercises and the importance of volunteering time to better the community. Additional sessions discuss topics such as 'beauty begins on the inside' and how to lead by example while reaching for your goals.

A healthy lunch will be provided while the girls are treated to a fabulous fall fashion show. The Rae of Hope Retreat takes place Saturday, September 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MiraMonte Resort in Indian Wells.

The event is free, but girls must have parental consent to register for the retreat and parent/guardian must accompany child to sign off permission to attend. You must register by Wednesday, September 17. Space is limited.

Parents must pick up their daughters no later than 4:15 p.m. on September 20.
