PSIFF honorees nominated for Golden Globes

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Nominations are out for the Golden Globes and quite a few nominees are also getting honored just days before at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Golden Globe Nominations:

  • Jessica Chastain was nominated for best actress in a drama for "Molly's Game."

  • Saoirse Ronan nominated for best actress in a comedy or musical for "Lady Bird."

  • Mary J. Blige got a nod for best supporting actress for her role in "Mudbound."

  • Allison Janney also received a best supporting actress nomination for her role in "I, Tonya."

  • Timothée Chalamet for best actor in a drama for "Call Me By Your Name."

  • Sam Rockwell for supporting actor in  "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri."

The 75th Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 7, in Beverly Hills.

The Palm Springs Film Awards Gala, hosted by Mary Hart, will be held Tuesday, January 2 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The Festival runs January 4-15, 2018.
