PALMDALE, Calif. -

Containment of the 32,000-acre Powerhouse Fire in the Angeles National Forest near Palmdale increased to 65 percent today, in part because of weaker winds and an increase in humidity. Winds reached a top speed of 20 mph and humidity rose to a relatively high 35 percent. Sixteen structures have been destroyed in the fire that began Thursday and is not expected to be fully contained until Monday, officials said.
