Since the Secret Service now scrambles its radio communications, there’s no longer much of a security reason for giving presidents and candidates code names, but they are still used out of tradition. Here are some of the not-so-secret code names White House seekers and those close to them have received over the years.

However, code names are still used out of tradition, and members of the same family usually get code names starting with the same letter. Here are some of the not-so-secret code names the Secret Service has used over the years, according to TIME Magazine, ABC News and other sources.
