1920: Hall of Fame baseball player Stan Musial, a 24-time All-Star who won seven National League batting championships, three NL MVP Awards and three World Series titles in his 23-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals, is born in Donora, Pennsylvania. At the time of his retirement in 1963, Musial held or shared 17 major league records, 29 National League records, and nine All-Star Game records. He died of natural causes at age 92 on Jan. 19, 2013.
