1960: Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 in the Milwaukee area, is born in West Allis, Wis. He was convicted on 15 murder charges and sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms in 1992, but was clubbed to death in a Wisconsin prison by a fellow inmate in November 1994.
