1909: Actress Margaret Sullavan, best known for her roles in movies such as "Three Comrades," "The Shopworn Angel" and "The Shop Around the Corner" (pictured here with James Stewart) is born in Norfolk, Va. Sullavan, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Three Comrades," died of an overdose of barbiturates at the age of 50 on Jan. 1, 1960.
