1966: Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, part of the Dallas Cowboys' high-powered offense in the 1990s that won three Super Bowls, is born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Irvin finished his 12-season career in 1999 with 750 receptions for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns.
