1978: The No. 3 song "Sometimes When We Touch" by Dan Hill is the only song in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 chart not written by a member of one of the Gibb brothers. Andy Gibb's "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water" was No. 1, with the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever" at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively, and Samantha Sang's "Emotion," written by Robin and Barry Gibb, at No. 4.
