1945: Hall of Fame basketball player Walt Frazier, who led the New York Knicks to the franchise's only two NBA Championships in 1970 and 1973, is born in Atlanta, Ga. The seven-time NBA All-Star played 10 seasons with the Knicks before ending his career with three seasons for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
