1930: Pat Robertson is born Marion Gordon Robertson in Lexington, Virginia. The former Southern Baptist minister is best known these days as a best-selling author and the host of "The 700 Club." He is also chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network and unsuccessfully campaigned to become the Republican Party's nominee in the 1988 presidential election.
