1948: Singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins, known as part of the duo Loggins and Messina as well as for his solo work, is born in Everett, Wash. Some of his most popular songs come from movie soundtracks, including "Footloose," "Danger Zone" from "Top Gun," and "I'm Alright" from "Caddyshack."
