1947: Singer-songwriter Warren Zevon, best known for such songs as "Werewolves of London" and "Lawyers, Guns and Money," is born in Chicago, Illinois. He died from cancer at the age of 56 on Sept. 7, 2003. His final album, "The Wind," which was released two weeks before his death, earned him two posthumous Grammys.
