1997: Colonel Tom Parker, the Dutch-born entertainment impresario known best as the manager of Elvis Presley, dies at the age of 87 in Las Vegas, Nevada, a day after suffering a stroke. Parker is seen here with Elvis on the set of the 1969 film "Change of Habit."
