1922: Actress Betty White, best known for her television roles as Sue Ann Nivens on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and Rose Nylund on "The Golden Girls," is born in Oak Park, Illinois. White is also known for her regular appearances on the game shows "Password" and "Match Game" from the 1950s through the early 1980s and now is a regular on the TV Land sitcom "Hot in Cleveland."
