1961: Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end and defensive tackle Reggie White, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and 13-time Pro Bowl selection who won a Super Bowl title with the Green Bay Packers in 1997, is born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. White, who also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers, died of a cardiac arrhythmia at age 42 on Dec. 26, 2004.
