2003: A jury in Chesapeake, Va., convicts teenager Lee Boyd Malvo of two counts of murder in the Washington, D.C.,-area sniper shootings. Malvo would later be sentenced to life in prison without parole. He would eventually be sentenced to another life term for another murder in Virginia and six more consecutive life sentences for murders committed in Maryland.
