1950: Filmmaker John Landis, best known for directing "National Lampoon's Animal House," "The Blues Brothers," "An American Werewolf in London," "Three Amigos" and "Coming to America," is born in Chicago, Illinois. He is also known for directing Michael Jackson's music videos for "Thriller" and "Black or White."
