1941: Rock musician William Jan Berry, one half of the duo Jan and Dean, is born in Los Angeles, Calif. Jan (left) and Dean (right) were best known for songs such as "Surf City," "Dead Man's Curve" and "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena." Berry died on March 26, 2004, after suffering a seizure at the age of 62.
