1963: Comedian and talk show host Conan O'Brien is born in Brookline, Mass. The former TV writer for "Saturday Night Live" and "The Simpsons" was tabbed to replace David Letterman on "Late Night" in 1993. O'Brien left "Late Night" to take over for Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" in 2009, but lasted only seven months before NBC brought Leno back. He debuted his new late-night talk show, "Conan," on TBS in 2010.
