PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - One motorist was arrested for alleged drunken driving during an overnight sobriety checkpoint police operated in Palm Springs, a sergeant said today.
Four people were cited for driving with a suspended license while five others with cited for unlicensed driving during the checkpoint police officers operated Friday night in the 2000 block of East Ramon Road, Palm Springs police Sgt. Mike Kovaleff said.
Out of the 621 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, 16 were directed to a separate area where one field sobriety test was done. Four vehicles were towed during the operation, Kovaleff said.
