CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - A man is behind bars for allegedly committing several lewd acts with several children under the age of 14.
Cathedral City Police says they arrested 53 year old David Hadley Pio Wednesday at his home in Cathedral City.
They got the complaint about an on-going child molestation case on Tuesday and detectives later determined that Pio was the suspect.
Detectives searched his home after being granted a search warrant and say they found a number of pornographic images and videos involving juveniles on computers and media storage.
Pio was arrested and charged with multiple counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, lewd acts with multiple victims under the age of 14 and possession of child pornography.
Pio is being held at the Riverside County Jail in Indio on one million dollars bail.
Cathedral City Police believe there may be more victims and are asking the public to provide them information.
Pio reportedly worked as a local youth-sports volunteer and allowed juveniles to frequent his home says Cathedral City Police Sergeant Paul Herrera in a news release from the department.
They are also asking anyone who might have any information regarding crimes committed by Pio to call (760) 770-0302.
