Guilty: Jury reaches verdict in Clifford Lambert Murder Trial

Kaushal Niroula and Daniel Garcia guilty on 10 counts including murder

INDIO, Calif - Jurors deliberated for a third day today and have decided the fate of two Northern California men accused in the financially motivated killing of a Palm Springs retiree.

Just after 2:00pm Friday, the jury came back into the courtroom and handed down their verdicts against Kaushal Niroula, 31, and Daniel Carlos Garcia, 30, both found guilty of 10 felony counts, including murder and conspiracy, in the stabbing death of 74-year-old Clifford Lambert on Dec. 5, 2008.

Niroula and Garcia were the last of six defendants to be prosecuted in the case. Replogle, a San Francisco attorney, and Miguel Bustamante were convicted in January 2011 of first-degree murder and eight other felony counts stemming from Lambert's death, and both were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

McCarthy, Bustamante's roommate, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in August 2010 and is scheduled to be sentenced in October. San Francisco art dealer Russell Manning pleaded guilty to fraud-related charges in

Niroula and Garcia both represented themselves. The jury started deliberating Wednesday morning. The trial began June 25.
