Desert Hot Springs Woman Battling Rare Tumor Passes Away

Family of Danita Tate Asking for Help for Funeral

Desert Hot Springs -

A Desert Hot Springs mother who was battling a rare form of cancer has died.

More than 2 years ago -- Danita Tate had uterine cancer that spread to her skull.  Doctors said the procedure to remove the tumor was too risky, so they tried radiation.

The tumor shrunk, before growing back.

Many doctors had the same prognosis, told her to stay home and gave her medication to make her last months as comfortable as possible.

Tate is survived by a young son.

To help donate to her funeral -- or donate toys or clothing for her son, call 909-368-9470 or visit her Facebook page, just search "Save Danita Tate."
