PALM DESERT - Benefactors, community members, and children gathered at the Living Desert to cut the ribbon at the new Miriam U. Hoover Discovery Center.
The new exhibit is an interactive exhibit space where visitors of all ages and language abilities can discover, understand, and learn about the Coachella Valley region.
The Miriam U. Hoover Discovery Center is an indoor place where visitors, especially children, can discover how sun, wind, sand, and only a little water work together to make the Coachella Valley such an amazing desert.
Entrance is included in park admission and is open during regular park hours.
Those in attendance also helped to celebrate Miriam Hoover's birthday.
