KENNESAW, Ga. -

A lockdown at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga., was lifted Friday, the school's website said.

School officials had received a call about a suspicious man with a possible weapon.

"At approximately 3:30 p.m., police found the individual with a cell phone in his pocket and confirmed that he was not a threat and never posed a threat to the community," the website said.

Live video had showed police walking around campus and barricades blocking some roads during the search, The Associated Press reported.
