Trey O'Connor has come out of his medically-induced coma and is getting better, according to family. Doctors are still attempting to find the cause of the seizures.

The family would like to thank the community for their support as Trey continues to recover.

A young man who was a victim of a violent assault last year,  is back in the hospital. This time, he is in a medically induced coma after suffering from seizures, his family tells KESQ News Channel 3.

As of Thursday night, there were plans to airlift him to Desert Regional Medical Center from Eisenhower for treatment. 

Last August, 19-year-old Trey O'Connor was assaulted at a Palm Desert house party that put him in a coma.

Four suspects accused of being involved in a rock-throwing assault that injured O'Connor in the head, will stand trial for the assault.
