PALM DESERT, Calif -

The Living Desert and the Palm Springs Art Museum will offer free admission to each other's venues through Labor Day, it was announced Thursday.

Members of each organization must show their membership cards to receive free entry to the other destination. The offer applies to both of the museum's locations -- Palm Desert and Palm Springs -- according to the organizations.

"For our 14,000 members, it's a great way to stay cool and enjoy all the wonderful exhibits at our zoo, and both the Palm Springs and Palm Desert locations of the Palm Springs Art Museum," Living Desert spokeswoman Nyla Patzner said. "And for those who aren't members, it's a good time to join to take advantage of this special partnership."

Arlene Amick, general manager of the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert, said she hopes Living Desert members "can now enjoy the many benefits of the Palm Springs Art museum."
