The streak of increases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire was extended Sunday to 20 days but barely, as it rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.95, the highest amount since Sept. 25.

   The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 33 of the past 34 days and is 3.9 cents more than one week ago and 28.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 28 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. 

   The average price has risen 35 cents over the past 34 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Saturday.
