Indio, Calif. -

Indio Police are looking for a man who robbed the BBVA Compass Bank at the Stater Bros. parking lot at Madison Street and Highway 111 late Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Indio Police Spokesman Ben Guitron, They got the call around 3:15 p.m. that the bank was robbed.  When they arrived the discovered that a Hispanic man, approached the teller with a note demanding money.  He fled the bank and was last seen going North through the Staters Bros. parking lot. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his thirties, about 5'6-5'8, between 130-150 pounds, with short hair, he was wearing a dark shirt, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.

Indio Police are trying to determine if this is the same bank robbery suspect that has hit several banks in the city over this past year.  If anyone saw anything they are asking to call Indio police or crimestoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
