$755 for a box of 36 condoms? Maybe in Venezuela

Elementary school to make condoms available

Elementary school students in Provincetown, Mass. could be given condoms if they ask for them under a policy approved by the town’s school committee, WCVB-TV in Boston reported. The policy requires that students speak to a school nurse or other trained counselor before receiving a condom. The school district superintendent said since there is no age limit on the distribution policy she wanted to ensure that younger students requesting condoms receive information on their use.

Shortages of basic products such as corn, milk and chicken have plagued Venezuela for years, creating long lines at supermarkets and pushing inflation above 60% a year. Condoms go as high as $755 a box of 36.
