A man's stomach tattoo nearly sparked an armed standoff with police in Maine.
Members of a tree removal crew in Norridgewock called authorities after the man confronted them, believing he had a gun.
Turns out, it was just a life-sized tattoo of a handgun on Michael Smith's stomach.
Smith, who works nights, was asleep when the removal crew started their work at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, and wasn't too happy to be woken up, the Morning Sentinel reported.
He went outside shirtless and yelled at the workers to leave.
When not wearing a shirt, it looks like Smith has a gun sticking out of the waistband of his pants, according to The Associated Press.
Smith told the Morning Sentinel the tattoo hadn't been a problem in the past.
He was not charged with any crime.
