Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital has treated eighteen thousand pediatric patients from the Coachella Valley in the last five years. But soon enough, that large patient base will have a place for care that’s a little bit closer to home.
The heart of the Coachella Valley will serve as the home for the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital’s new Indio clinic. The new 11,000 square foot center is being built out of the shell of an old USDA building across from the Indio Public Library. Ground was originally broken for the center in November of 2016.
Brooke Beare took an exclusive first look inside the center, which is set to open in March in CBS Local 2’s special “Closer Care.” Tune for the full story this Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
