THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. - A woman who died Tuesday after being found with traumatic injuries at the Tri-Palms Estates in Thousand Palms has been identified. The Riverside County Coroner's Office said the victim was 56-year-old Victoria Supola.
The sheriff's department was called to the 73000 block of Pacheta Square around 11 a.m. to a reported assault.
Authorities said Supola was assaulted in her home and died from her injuries at 2:12 p.m. after being taken to the hospital.
Police haven't named any suspects yet and the investigation is being handled by the Palm Desert Station and the Riverside County Central Homicide Unit.
Anyone with information regarding the assault is asked to call Investigator Freeman at (760) 393-3530.
