Two men stabbed in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Palm Springs Police had cordoned off two crime scenes early Wednesday morning after a stabbing attack that left two men seriously injured.

One injured man was able to get to a hospital with the help of someone nearby. He was placed in a induced coma.  

Another man was found collapsed and injured at the corner of Ramon Road and South Sunrise Way. 

That person was sent to surgery immediately at the hospital.

Police said both men were listed in serious condition, but stable at a nearby hospital.

A second crime scene was closed to the public in a parking area of the Ralph's shopping center near a Game Stop store on the 400 Block of South Sunrise Way. 

Police encouraged motorists to avoid the intersection of East Ramon Road and South Sunrise Way overnight, but most roads were reopened to traffic at 5:15 a.m. Southbound Sunrise Way remained closed from the Boys and Girls Club to Ramon Road but was reopened to traffic by 7:00 a.m.

Police asked anyone with information to contact the Palm Springs Police Department.
